The fourth edition of the "Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary" is appealing in respect of the text printed in multicolored—black and brown. Definitions are great in the sense that a learner can easily understand a meaning of even a critical word easily. The font size of this paperback dictionary is also slightly bigger than that of its competitors' Advanced Leaner's Dictionaries of English, giving you the feasibility to ward off eyestrain. Its paper quality is better than any other advanced learner's English dictionary of Indian edition. The ISBN of the paper back dictionary I have purchased is 9781107504448 and a CD-ROM also has accompanied with it. One of the interesting things I noticed in the dictionary is—the example sentences are lucid and they give you a feeling that as if you really are communicating with the dictionary. The phrasal verbs and idioms sections are also awesome being simple to understand. Additionally, some topics like formal writing, academic writing, informal writing and presentations have been explained in the middle of the dictionary with a title “Focus on Writing”— surely it will help learners of English to hone their writing skills.
