The mountain stands on the International boundary between India and Nepal jutting out many peaks like world famous Sandakphu and Phalut. The author is continuing his field studies across that rugged terrain for about three decades. The facts and information regarding physical set up of the Range as well as the changing nature of its environment are thus well represented here based on his direct observations.
