Taranath Tantrik aka TnT is a reluctant psychic investigator with a dark and dubious past. Though looking like a man in his mid fifties Taranath or TnT is almost a century old. Presently he leads a quiet life in his humble domicile somewhere in the urban hustle of Kolkata. His lonely existence is often pleasantly interrupted by the frequent visits of his young friends Shankar, an officer in the C.I.D and Vibhuti, an aspiring horror novelist. However, the tranquility in TnT’s life is shattered as a strange phenomenon starts plaguing Kolkata. Normal innocent people travelling in the subway metro commute are struck by abrupt and sudden attacks of abject madness, turning them extremely violent and forcing them to commit unthinkable acts of cruelty and savagery on their fellow passengers. Why is this plague of madness occurring, what is causing them? To know the answer TnT must trail back to the past, his own life and the most violent period of Calcutta, but time is running out as an enemy without a face is turning the ‘City of Joy’ into a ‘City of Sorrows’.
